BC Racing Suspension

BC Racing SuspensionBC Racing Suspension is now available to buy in the UK through KamRacing. These fantastic coilover kits are great value for money, featuring the latest mono-tube damper technology and innovative product designs not found on the larger brands ranges. BC Racing coilovers are versatile and can be used for road use as well as track days, racing and drifting.

One of the key features on BC Racing coilovers is how they deal with ride height adjustment. Other manufacturers typically have this adjusted through raising or lowering the spring platform, which means that with lowering the car the damper will be partially compressed as standard and therefore reducing the amount of damper travel.. BC Racing coilover kits do things a bit differently. by instead adjusting the height at the bottom of the damper you retain full damper travel regardless of the ride height your car is run at.

Standard Features of all BC Racing Coilovers

Rebound & Compression Damping Adjustment

BC Racing BR Coilovers have 30 clicks of rebound and compression damping adjustment allowing you to adjust the way your vehicle handles; fine tuning the front and rear balance to suit different track and race disciplines.

Ride Height Adjustment

BC Racing Coilovers alter ride height using an adjustable bottom mount. As ride height is set by this bottom mount rather than the spring platform your BC Racing Coilover retains full damper travel no matter what your ride height. This also allows the BC Racing Coilover spring pre-load to be set independently.

Nitrogen pressurised Monotube Coilovers

The BC Racing coilover kits use Nitrogen pressurised Monotube dampers with a large diameter pistons and bodies. Mono-tube pistons are much larger than twin-tube coilover dampers. This allows it to be more sensitive to small suspension movements . The larger outer shafts are stronger so they cope with higher side loads. Nitrogen pressurised Monotube coilover dampers give a more consistent damping performance and do not suffer from aeration or performance fade in comparison to a twin tube BC Racing Suspensiondamper design.

Corner weight adjustment

The lower spring platforms of the BC Racing coilovers are adjustable. This allows the car to be set up for corner weighting to achieve perfect balance and ensures that maximum tyre efficiency is achieved.

The car needs to be placing equal weight on each tyre on an axle so both front tyres need to be taking equal loading as do both rears. This makes sure that both tyres are doing their equal share of work when cornering which increases overall grip, maximises corner speed and reduces lap times.

Corrosion protection

The BC Racing Coilover damper units are black chromed steel to give superb durability against the weather and road salt in winter.
The aluminium components are anodised and the steel lower mounts go through an electrocoating process followed by powder coating.

Top mounts included on most kits

Many of the BC Racing coilover kits come with complete with replacement top mounts. These BC Racing top mounts are either rose jointed (pillowball) top mounts or rubber top mounts. The anodised alloy top mounts eliminate any flex or play associated with the standard rubber top mounts, improving response and handling. In addition some of the BC Racing coilover kits also allow for camber / castor adjustment through the solid top mounts to give additional tuning flexibility.

Optional BC Racing Damping Extenders

The BC Racing coilover kits are available to be purchased with rear damping extender cables. If chosen these allow you to adjust the 30 way damping from a more convenient position on the car. Three lengths are available and these can be cut down to size.

Custom spring rates at no extra cost

Kam Racing are able to supply the BC Racing coilover kits with spring rates of your choice at no extra cost. Simply contact our sales team and we will arrange this for you..

BC Racing - V1 Series Coilovers

44mm diameter pistons / 50mm diameter damper body

BC Racing's V1 Series is their entry level coilover kit designed for road / trackday use. The BC Racing V1 Series coilovers use a large 44mm diameter piston in a 50mm diameter damper body to increase oil capacity over standard dampers.

Combined Rebound and Compression Adjustment

These BC Racing V1 Series coilovers feature 30 clicks of damping adjustment combining both rebound and compression in one adjuster for simplicity and ease of use.

V1 Series Coilovers

BC Racing - BR Series Coilovers

46mm diameter pistons / 53mm diameter damper body

The BC Racing BR series coilovers are similar to the V1 series coilover kits but use a larger 46mm diameter piston in a 53mm diameter damper body to maximise the oil capacity. the larger outer shafts also give additional strength enabling them to cope with higher side loads.

Combined Rebound and Compression Adjustment

These BC Racing BR series coilovers feature 30 clicks of damping adjustment combining both rebound and compression in one adjuster for simplicity and ease of use.

BR Series Coilovers

BC Racing - DR Series Coilovers - New For 2016

BC Racing’s new proprietary digressive piston design offers increased damping force at low piston velocities while maintaining a linear damper feel at higher piston velocities. The biggest advantages of increased low-speed damping force to be in terms of what the driver “feels,” i.e., roll, pitch, and quick weight transitions seen in chicanes

DR Series Coilovers

BC Racing - RM Series Coilovers

Mono-tube inverted dampers:

Reduced Damper Flex

The BC Racing RM Coilovers use large 42mm inverted monotube dampers. This inverted style allows both the inner and outer tubes to take all of the side loads encountered when cornering. This reduced flex of the BC Racing RM series gives a more predictable steering feel and improved responsive handling. It also improves the life of the BC Racing damper seals.

Reduced unsprung weight

The mono-tube inverted damper design on the BC Racing RM series coilovers has a number of advantages, including reducing unsprung weight by moving the oil and gas reservoir way from the hub and attaching it to the shell.

Reduced heat transfer

Also by inverting the coilover damper the oil and gas is moved away from the hub assembly. This means that less heat is transferred to the oil under braking which makes for more consistent damping.

Combined Rebound and Compression Adjustment

These BC Racing RM series coilovers feature 30 clicks of damping adjustment combining both rebound and compression in one adjuster for simplicity and ease of use.

BC Racing - ER Series Coilovers

External Reserviors

These BC Racing ER series coilovers The external reservoirs hold much more oil than conventional coilovers, allowing the unit to operate for much longer before overheating.

46mm diameter pistons / 53mm diameter damper body

The BC Racing ER series coilovers use a larger 46mm diameter piston in a 53mm diameter damper body to maximise the oil capacity. The larger outer shafts give additional strength enabling them to cope with higher side loads.

Separate Rebound and Compression Adjustment

the external reservoirs also house a secondary piston, which allows for separate adjustment of rebound and compression damping. Rebound damping is adjusted on the top of shock and compression damping is adjusted on the external reservoir

ER Series Coilovers

BC Racing - HR Series Coilovers - New For 2016

The BC Racing HR Series coilovers offer the same great benefits of the RM Series with the addition of independently adjustable compression and rebound damping adjustment and external reservoirs. These 2-way adjustable BC Racing HR Coilovers feature an inverted mono-tube damper design which reduces unsprung weight and moves vital damper fluid away from detrimental heat sources to avoid overheating under extreme track use and the resulting damper fade.

HR Series Coilovers

BC Racing - ZR Series Coilovers - New For 2016

The BC Racing ZR Series coilovers are a 3-way adjustable system offering independent low speed/high speed compression adjustments and separate rebound adjustment. On cars with McPherson struts the BC Racing ZR Series comes standard with an inverted mono-tube damper with the steel braided Teflon coated line exiting the top of the damper to the external reservoirs that can be remotely mounted on the chassis for easy adjustment. Cars with double A-arm suspension come with upright dampers with steel braided Teflon coated lines or solid stem that exit the damper at the bottom and lead to the external reservoir that can be mounted under the chassis or on the shock body itself.

  • 30-clicks of rebound adjustment
  • 15-clicks of low speed compression adjustment
  • 12-clicks of high speed compression
