   Initially I had my doubts about the Apex Sports suspension kit considering the price is below that of similar products available. However those doubts are totally unfounded, the kit has had a fairly 'hard' 22,000 miles on my car, since the roads around the local area are better described as Farm Track. The damping feels as tight and controlled today as the day the kit was first fitted and there's no indication that the quality of the product is superficial, it certainly appears the product was engineered to last and cope with the worst of the UK road network.
   
   In terms of ride, make no mistake that despite a relatively modest drop of 35 mm, the dampers in this kit are pretty firm, the rears more so. Certainly not overdamped for the spring rate by any means but definitely more sports orientated than say, fast road. The car retains that progressive and predictable approach to understeer but has a much more responsive turn in, less 'wallowy' and is notably more grip in those corners than over standard.
   
   To summarise this really is a very good kit for the money and improves the handling behaviour of the car without completely transforming it. If I had to purchase it again I would - although the quality of the components suggests I doubt that I'll need to. (Posted on 29/06/2010)
