Getting The Best Performance Out Of Your Peugeot 205

The Peugeot 205 GTI had a well optimised 8v engine to begin with so other than fitting a performance induction kit, owners generally leave the internals alone. Popular mods include engine transplants from cars such as the 405 Mi-16 and 306 GTI-6. Both engines respond well to a good induction kit and camshafts and 180-200bhp is a simple task to achieve. The main focus for many Peugeot 205 owners is sorting out the handling with some uprated suspension. We recommend the KW Inox V1 or V2 coilovers for the ultimate in ride comfort. For normal suspension the Bilstein Group N combined with Eibach Springs gives the Peugeot 205 a firm ride that is capable in all situations. Strut braces also noticably improve the tyre traction as the road camber changes.
